To me the past is a forgotten realm.  I learn from my mistakes of the day (today), and then forget about the incidents of the past.  Some may say that this is silly to think this way, but, I've found that it is quite relaxing.

But everyone has their skeletons in the closet.. some of those closets are more filled and tighter held shut.. But our worse enemy dealing with the past is our own guilt that we feel.. If you can hide the pain or close it off, it only bottles it up and makes it worse.. It's good to talk about the past and embrace how the past happened, then we can learn from our mistakes and perhaps share with others to prevent that from happening... I know i have several crosses to bare which I hide from everyone..

Well.. It is not easy for me because I lost my mom and I bet that nobody remember what happened thair mom and dad... Because have happy memories of thair mom and dad... But me... No I try not to remember the happy memories of my mom because every time I think of my real mom... It's just makes me cry.... that Everyone has a mom be I do not have a mom... But since EK does not know how it feels to loss a mom...... And how luckly she is to have a mom...... And I'm half glad EK does not know how it feels to loss a mom...

It does more then eats me, I'm pained at it at times, it burns, corroding my very soul and respect to others at times. I regret the days when I use to hate a lot but bitterness never makes you forget. I am glad though that I haven't crossed the line but it has been close and since this year I have been struggling to redeem myself in a literal sense.

Respect the past and remember the future. That is my view on life. You must take what happened in the past and use that to move into a brighter future. nothing can stop a person from doing anything except themselves. i will live with haunted memories for the rest of my days. I am kinda like a councilor for people who want to commit suicde. For some reason, they just seem to come to me and start talking about how sad and depressing their lives are. Even if i hhave no clue who they are. To date i have had this happen 6 times. all of them were ready to throw it in. By giving them the most important thing you can give someone, i helped save them from themselves. I found out recently that one of them did commit suicide though. He actually wrote his letter of suicide to me, stating that the only reason he lasted as long as he did was because i was there for him.
The memory of seeing his parents faces looking at me, a complete stranger whom their son had never mentioned except in his letter, will be burned into my mind until i leave this place myself. I sit here in tears remembering that day. Even being told that i did my best and it was not my fault, i still feel the weight of responcibility on my shoulders. Death is something i can accept, but to know in advance that someone is to kill themself and then not be able to help them...it just destroys my heart.

I use this to remind me that i must always put my best effort into helping those in need of help. I know the consequences of not doing enough, and i hope never to see another failure again.
 so my responce to the question, is yes. My past will always eat my alive from the inside. I hope your life turns for the better BSEK

Wow....I've [had a few people] come close to commiting the act, but never, actaully crossing the line....wow.  That must be a burden.
