Wow! Where to begin!!! Laurel K. Hamilton's are always good... But I love all books. Anne McCaffrey's Pern series got me started in Sci Fantasy. Piers Anthony's Xanth series is great for a little humorous reading. The Practice Effect by David Brin had very interesting possibilities for worlds. I do find most nonfictions to be a little dry, if useful on occasion.

The Ship Who Sang is good. Also, The Rowan and the rest. The Crystal Singer series is a favorite, too! I could go on and on. lol
