I've been working on a new role playing game-- environment over the past week.  I finally got the new site set up, and some basic introduction stuff defined, however, there is so much more that needs to be done!  I'm in the process of creating the Guidebook (an all-comprehensive document detailing everything a new player needs to know about the game world), which appears to be a common and preferred object of desire on my role playing forums.

This is an experiment, as I've never developed a forum solely for the purposes of role playing, and it's rather exciting!  Based on my previous experience at running forums, I didn't want to become boxed in with only Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha-- which this role play is set in, I decided to zoom out a bit, and focus the new forum environment on Magical Girls.  I've set up the new forum to contain multiple magical girl Realms, each (category) is a separate role playing game.  This configuration allows for multiple game boards to be used, and more layout options to be considered.  But, if you're interested in Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, and have always dreamed of creating your own original character set within this magic-technologically fused world, then I invite you to check out it's new home.

One other thing that I'll be doing is migrating from SMF over to XenForo over on the new forum.  I want to try out the new shiny, all the features, and if it sparks new engagement or not.  Just the auto-expanding posting box is really nice feature, especially for long form content, like role playing.

With the creation of a new subdomain, and exploring the idea of transforming all my role playing games into individual subdomains, I'll be cleaning up the layout of this site.  No, this forum will not be going way, but it will be reorganized.  Most of the anime boards will probably stay, however, I'll probably sharpen the focus to Shoujo anime, since there seems to be a lot of other sites doing the Shonen area already.  The role playing game boards, where discussion about different games is conducted, that will probably be migrated into the Articles System (using Tiny Portal).  These articles will focus on the strengths and weaknesses of the system they describe.  I was hoping that people were interested in discussion about their beloved game systems, and whatnot, but after a few years of running this site with like zero interaction there, it's pretty clear that most people don't care.

Will this rearrangement kill this place?  Honestly, who knows, but the site's been pretty dead for a while now, and I need to do something to try to breathe some life back into it.  Maybe you've got some ideas?  If so, let me know.
