Have you ever noticed toys today are a whole lot cooler then when we were kids. I see these new transformers and they make me remeber the old ones I had that sort of looked like what they transformed into. What about those action figures that really didn't do much action?
Its very true. I have thought about that before. ;D ;D
Yeah, but ya know... I like to think that some of us have better imaginations than I'm seeing developping today. And some of the "kids" who don't have to work to imagine are certainly acting more lazy than they would be if they had to work the brain matter just a little more!
The question for today is
Simple vs Complex
Is it better to have a simple toy like building block or have complex toy like a walking talking robot?
I (tradition kind of person) would said simple toy.
Depends on your personality:
I loved Beast Wars Transformers when I was young because some of them had a pretty damn complicated transformation. It was hard to remember every little details.
Others like the simpler toys because they have enough imagination to make it something more complicated.
Well, I can said that I am part of the others. I had a some lego set. Never was about to make the set it was in instruction but I make a lot of thing out of the pieces with my imagination and had lot of fun.
Lego is awsome :woot:
I could never build a damn thing :figures: without the instructions. My brother could build some very impressive space ships, and robots out of our parts. We had a five gallon tupperware thing full to the top with 'em.
Me too.
Omitting the brother part.
and replace without the instruction with "even with the instructions".
Yeah I remeber that most of the instructions were pretty hard to follow unless you had this innate ability to think of images in the third dimension. In other words i made a lot of lucky guesses.
I just stop trying. Did as I wish.
Thats the way to a unique model or a disaster.
Well, all in the eye of the beholder.
Too true
At a early age, I think imagation and creative by simplity in play is neccessary. However, not so as I grow up.
