what is it that truly makes a word "bad" by societies standards i know that theres something about it in the bible, and besides how the word sounds wht do all of you think gives a word te qualification to be bad?
Well, I think it the group or crowd. Saying the lord name in vain is bad in some group and other not.
Also I think the mean, purpose or how they feel about it?
Even ok words can be very offensive to some people because its meaning to them.
And totally offensive may be ok to some people it has little to no real meaning.
A word is only truly bad when you intend it to be that way. That's my opinion. If you intend on insulting/hurting someone then any word is bad, but if you mean no harm then I think any word is fine
I believe that profanity in my standards is eating a baby, which I happen to watch by meh buddie.
That video was forever burned in my brain.

i belie that waht makes a word bad is all in who hears it and what it means if it is inapproite fora someone of the age of 5 then it is bad
i say a word is bad based on how the person hearing it takes it
there was a point and time when the n word for just about anything... mostly on xbox live
though what realy ticks me off is you use to "lords" name in vain, and some one yells at you for it... but some of the story behind that is more appropriate for another area
well that may be true as well
