As a member of the GenX Club, I've seen my fair share of life. I'd like to share some positive qualities that I'm rather proud to possess (regardless from where or whom instilled these qualities came from).
- We're resourceful. We don't really have any problems adapting to the circumstances we find ourselves in.
- We are tolerant and accepting (to a point). Many of us follow the philosophy of "Live and Let Live."
- Most of us have been through Hell. For some, that means the military, others, survived prison, and just about all of us lived through one form of abuse or another.
- We mostly want a better world for our children, and are willing to sacrifice our benefits so that that goal can be achieved.
- But, there are a few assholes. They simply haven't had an FAFO experience when they were younger-- or perhaps they are just that damn stupid. Every generation has a few.
- We know how to navigate through the World using ancient analog technology as well as state-of-the-art tech. Many of us pioneered the Old West of the Internet using BBS's and AOL Chat lines that we paid for by the minute... :-\ ($600+ bill....)
I would also like to see what positive you see in your Generation, or observations of other Generations ;D
