I'm begging you, PLEASE read this post.  Understand it.  Pretty please??

I've created the Kawaii Klub to be a fun place where like minded people who enjoy anime, role playing, and other interesting topics can mingle and hang out.  And for the most part, I believe this mission is being completed, however...

As I've been working on the Ayeka's Bliss Restoration Project, I've noticed something.  Now, I know that there were a few people who were offenders of the following, and I'm creating this sticky post now, to encourage a positive experience for everybody who visits from this point forward.

1.  You're free to create just about any topic here.  Please keep in mind that sometimes people of a younger age group do happen to read this public facing forum.  Everybody knows that everybody swears, curses, or uses profanity every now and then, but please try to keep it to a minimum..  Also, a similar message about posting images and memes.  Please try to stay away from posting anything outright erotic or flat out pornographic.  Yes, I may indeed be a hentai at times, but I'm really not interested in seeing other people's private body parts.

2.  When replying to a topic, please stay on topic.  I understand that sometimes topics meander to the left or right, but try to at least stay on topic.  For example, if the topic is talking about a specific movie, then let's talk about the movie, aspects of that movie, actors within that movie, etc.  Don't go and mention something totally random, like the fact you got a new camera the other day-- unless you used it to capture pictures of the topic movie! :nosweat:

3.  Proper Quotation usage.  I don't know about anybody else, but I find it really irritating when somebody will quote the post directly above their reply using the quotation button.  Do you really need the entire post above?  I would recommend only using the quote button when you want to talk about a specific part of a post, or if the post you're referring to is several posts above your reply and you wish to reply to that specific post.  In other words, it's implied that you're responding to the post directly above your reply or to the topic starter's post.

4.  Post length.  Please refrain from creating extremely short topics or replies.  Add context, personal experiences, details, etc.  The only time when a short phrase or one-liner reply is acceptable, would be in, like, a Word Game post.  This is also true within Role Playing posts.  Sure, there's going to be times when all you can do is post a reply quote of what your Character is saying, but it's also very lazy, if not flat our rude to not include an action detailing what your character is doing.  Adding an action beat with your Character's reply will help push the game along and give other Player's something to work with.  :)

5.  Spelling.  There are quite a few posts here that have spelling mistakes.  That was acceptable back in 2006, during the height of Ayeka's Bliss,  however, most people are posting using modern web browsers that automatically spell check words as they are typed out.  Even more so if you're using your phone to post.  Please ensure that you're correcting any spelling errors (usually underlined with a red squiggly line.  And if you are using your phone, be sure Autocorrect didn't use an incorrect word.  Sure, sometimes it's funny, but after a while, it just becomes tediously annoying.  Remember, you're personal reputation is established and remains permanently forever online.  (Just look at the Ayeka's Bliss Restoration Project as an example!!)

6.  Image Hot-linking.  The Kawaii Klub website has literally one terabyte of storage space available, and I've enabled up to 60 MB of attachments to be included in any message.  Please consider downloading the image(s) you wish to repost here and attach them.  You can also add them inline in your messages.  ;D  I recommend shrinking your images to something modest to ensure for rapid message loading for everybody.  Although I doubt there's anybody still working with a 56K bps modem in 2025, some connections may be slower than the gigabit internet speeds many of us have become accustomed to using.

7.  Spoilers.  I know this isn't an anime specific section of the Site, however, if you're posting content that would spoil something for another person who hasn't had a chance to watch/read about something yet, consider using the spoiler tag to hide that content.  It's just a click and your content will drop so people who are prepared to read your content won't be ambushed by stuff they're not ready for yet.

8.  Tags.  Some boards allow you to use a Prefix.  I recommend using one when it's appropriate.  Feel free to suggest new ones if you find a situation where there isn't a prefix tag available.  I've been around for a while, but I'm not quite psychic yet.

9.  While it's not mandatory, I highly recommend filling out your profile.  Adding an avatar and other small details about yourself and your personality will allow others to connect with you easier.  And after all, we're all interested in forging new friendships, right?  That's the point of a community, right?  Besides, at the very least, by having an avatar will enable people to remember YOU easier.

10.  Signatures.  The Kawaii Klub is very easygoing when it comes to the size of your signature.  However, I'm going to ask that you keep it on the smaller side.  Instead of writing an entire poem for your signature that's meaningful for you, why not just make a post in the Creative Corner and post a link to it?  It's just an idea, and it'll increase your post count +1!

11.  Finally, unless I think of something else, be sure to HAVE FUN!
