It looks like the SMF 1.1 RC3 upgrade caused an unexpected problem with posting.  When using Internet Explorer, you'll get a few Javascript errors, preventing posting.

Until I get this fixed, you can type your message in Notepad, Copy and Paste, clicking past any Javascript errors (if you have the Script Debugger installed).

This is a top priority to get fixed.  I am really disappointed at the Q/A process on the SMF side, for all of these problems to be released into the upgrade.

this is probably b/c the post limit thing for downloads was increased, but every time I click on a section I get redirected to the forum

This is why i like Mozilla Firefox, no posting errors whatso ever. It doesn't like flash java too much but anything else works like a CHAMP!

Yeah, but at the same time, you can't use any of the smilies or post BBC codes (by button pushing...normal direct typing of the codes still works...).

ooh, I always just wrote the code for it. Heh  As it was always much easier for me to keep my hands on the keyboard then to pause what I am typing to move my left hand over to the mouse to click a tiny little icon.

Ah well *shrug* You'll fix it soon or something to like that..

Yeah, I do the same, however, some of the smilies, I don't know by heart.  The BBC tags I pretty much have memorized though.

One way or another, I'll find the solution to this mess!

Also when posting the spell checker isn't working as well as the things along the top bar like italics, underline, those things.

Ok, they work if like the other things, you type them but not if you press the buttons. Also it won't let me quote from posts.
Also the downloads are no where to be found.

I was able to fix this posting bug.  Unfortunately, I had to delete all the member custom settings (found under Profile - Themes and Layout (I think).  Therefore, I believe that everyone has been reset to the default settings.

Now the only error message that comes up (and only if you have the Script Debugger installed) is when you click on the post button.  However, you can click No (to debug) and the message will post just fine.  This only affects Microsoft Internet Explorer users.  Firefox works just fine.

I'm not sure abou the downloads issue.  What exactly is the problem?
