I really wish that Kotoko had made an appearance earlier in the anime.  I like her... seriousness.  It's  a good balance from Sumomo's cheerfully outburst of personality.

But I actually feel a little bad for the girl.  She's surrounded by idiots! LOL

Recently, as I'd been reading Reddit, I stumbled on to a few posts of people feeling nostagia for the way the Internet used to be.  Back before popular Social Media with community forums, fan-shrines, etc, and I thought about the Webring.  This was essential during that early startup phase of the Internet, before Google had found a way to advertise to us to death.

I thought about either joining up with a Webring or starting one up, but, the old tech is simply gone today.  The old site, webring.org is no longer in existence.  So, I'd have to manually start up a webring, which would probably just end up being a series of links, and getting other forum admins to agree to using a webring could be tricky too.  Most administrators covet their members, and outright fear losing members to other forums.  Like, there's this stupid level of toxic behavior.  I participate in a number of different forums.  Each one has a different taste to it, most of them are anime based or about creative writing, and forum administration.  Some days, I give more attention to some forums over others.

Maybe I just don't see the big deal, and I despise the idea of hoarding members.

When writing, we're taught in school to outline, plan, organize your thoughts before you start to engage that imagination.  But, as I've written through the Ages, I've come to find out that if I focus on the plan, the world never becomes.  Now knowing that if I plan a little bit, but don't think too much about the details, and just write, I can go back and tidy things up after I have the story down.

How do you prefer to write?

When you're writing a fan fiction, how long do you typically aim for?  Do you prefer to write stories on the shorter side, or do you prefer to build up lots of plot points and drag out the story?  Let us know!

I read this a few years back, and I'm itching to read it again.  This seems to be a complicated series because it's easy to get confused between Gacha Gacha The Next Revolution and Gacha Gacha Next Revolution, which tells a totally different story!  And I'm guessing that this series was never popular enough to become an anime.  Oh well.  It's still a fun read if you're into

I know better.  Like, nobody in 2025 uses a BBS.  In fact, how many of you even know what a BBS is, what it stands for?

I heard this term used in Episode five (I think), and the memories that were recalled... long distance phone bills, finding text based games.  Ah, fond memories.  Do you have any memories of using a BBS?

Chobits / The Internet Then and Now.

I'm finally watching Chobits.  Now, I did read the entire manga quite a few years ago, and there's quite a bit that I'd forgotten, however, the introduction to this anime, centered around The Internet.  Wow.  So much has changed, but I'm not sure if it's in a good way.  I'll have to do a comparison about what the future looked like when Chobits was produced versus how it actually is.
