As I rewatch this [All Purpose All Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku] anime, it's refreshing to see that even though the antagonist, Lady Akikio isn't evil (at least in the OVA),

but only wants custody of her son back. This "light-heartedness" is highlighted in episode two, at the end of the beach scene, when Akiko refuses to take custody of Ryunosuke because it was her own actions that harmed the boy.

I'm really enjoying the light-hearted plots of the 1990's era of anime through watching this classic anime.
