Well, that was fun...

Well, it's been a blast over the past five years....not really. This site was originally created to provide discussion about older anime and various role playing games. However, after trying and attempting different things, I think it's finally time to put this idea to rest. At least in its current form.

I've come to realize that this platform was too generalized. There are plenty of other places on the Internet with somewhat stable memberships that discuss anime, mostly new, but there are room for the classics. And as for role playing games, well, most people either go to the publisher's own forums for discussion about mechanics and to find players, or there's always Discord. Finally, there's the intersection of these two topics: anime role playing.

Play by Post role playing is still a thing, although, it may not be nearly as popular on a forum with other platforms that offer more advanced features and let's not forget about instant communications. But playing by a forum has it's own pitfalls, and one thing I've noticed while I was mentally reviewing all the games I had experienced and hosted during the past, was that when a player stops responding to a game (for whatever reason), it tends to stall the game, which ultimately leads to it's demise. So I thought about this issue and I may have found a solution. Enter my latest discovery:Role Playing Directory. I noticed something as I was exploring these other communities. They weren't specific niche topic forums with a role play board or section, like I was used to. No, these were forums that completely encompassed a role play setting.

So I decided to start an experiment. I created another forum, however, instead of following the trend I witnessed, I think I know better than to lock myself down into a single fandom. I did this with Tenchi Muyo decades ago, and I quietly suffered as I wanted to explore other fandoms but felt trapped by the member base that I had built. So upon creating this new forum, I zoomed out just a bit to focus on the genre of the fandoms that I seem to rave about. Allow me to introduce this new virtual home...

Welcome to Prismatica! Home of the Magical Girl Role Playing Society. (It's a work in progress, okay?) This is a forum that allows me and other fans of the Magical Girl genre to explore, to move between our various favorite anime, whether it be a classic, like, Sailor Moon, or my personal favorite, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. The site includes some impressive features, such as Sub Account / Profile Switching, forms for character sheets, even an impressive shop, but the main attraction is the software being used, XenForo along with a sleek and modern, responsive Light/Dark theme.

Anyway, I haven't decided what I'm going to do with this particular site just yet, however, as of June 1, 2025, if you were an active member, here, you've already got an account on the new forum, and I invite you to give [Prismatica] a try. In the meantime, if you still want to revisit some classic memories, I'll be leaving [this site] operational for a while.
